We have internally created a custom GPT using ChatGPT. It suggests the subject line, blurb (the summary at the beginning of the newsletter), and the grouping together of stories under subheadings. These suggestions are then edited by our senior editors and added to the newsletter. We never use AI for news generation itself, but mainly for summarising the stories done by our reporters, with sufficient human oversight and editing.
